To Live or Lie

You pushed me aside, I stood up and smiled.

You broke my heart, I survived.

You hurt me deep, yet I healed.

You shattered my dreams, my faith increased.

The pain of emptiness you gifted me, strengthened my soul,

Still today I stand alone.

Confused and broken-to love or to lie,

Or to learn to live, with a fake smile on my lips.

But, I promise my tears will soon die,

I promise I will never let you be mine.

I will soon reach the skyline of joys,

With prayers in my mind and hope in my eyes.

True love seeks out for me,

To rescue me from the I coffin now lie,

And unlike you, it will accompany me for the rest of my life.
